The aim of the program is to build a local community, meet the needs of its residents, ensure order and prosperity, provide care for weaker members of the community, counteract pathologies, and address social issues in a democratic society.
Since 1989, dynamic changes have been taking place in Poland with the goal of building a democratic, civic society where freedom and respect for rights are paramount values.
In the development strategies for local authorities formulated so far, the approach that considers social needs during diagnosis predominates. However, there is a lack of satisfactory translation of these needs into action strategies for local entities. The intention of this project is to prepare a program that enables local authorities to create local strategies for solving social problems, taking into account both aspects mentioned above.
In working on the project, the Foundation collaborated with the Lech Wałęsa Institute.
